Hey MT/AM players,

Without getting into the aesthetics...

What is the line of sight of that Twin-Linked Hot-Shot Volley Gun that seems to be mounted on the rear fenders?

Is it Hull Mounted (ie 45 degrees)?
Does it lose twin linked if only one gun can come to bear?

I'm playing an MT gent on Tuesday. I'm pretty permissive in general just don't want to get abused.

Thanks y'all.

I think it can only fire forward like a hull mounted weapon.

As long as one gun can see im pretty certain it still gets twin linked.

If it is Hull mounted it has a 45 degree arc of fire. (If it is not defined in the codex then playing it as Hull Mounted seems reasonable).

Why would it lose twin linked if only one gun can come to bear? are there rules stating that the Prime Volley Gun loses TL in certain situations?

Because, real-world logic.

The thinking goes (I'm guessing) that since fluff-wise the twin-linking comes from a spray of bullets out of both barrels, then if one barrel cannot draw LOS, then half-the bullets would miss, meaning you don't have as big a hail of bullets.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Ahhh so nothing to do with actual rules then.

Got it.

P.S. doktor_g, never try to interject real-world logic into 40K, It never ends well.
