Is the Aquila Strongpoint Apocalypse only as of the latest rule sets? I am looking for a third fort for stronghold assault missions, and a big feffing gun sounds about right if I can take it. It would also help in the inevitable 2v1 game I'm going to play with a CSM player against a AM player at 2000+2000 vs 4000.

It's available (if fething OP) for regular games, in the Stronghold Assault supplement.

Very very few folks i've played/talked to are willing to play vs one, unless they are playing full-on Escalation/Stronghold Assault/ Apoc.

Ymmv of course. Same goes from Transctans and Revenants

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

Meh. In that case I might get it for stronghold assault games. The 500+ size hole in my normal army list is something I would need to work around, but at least I'd have a big fething gun. Might also be a good choice to deal with certain lists involving spamming certain large mechs of which there are two (looking at you Imperial Knights and Riptides). I wouldn't take it in non Stronghold Assault/Apoc games for anything other than mechaspam though, since it is much easier to fit Vengeance Batteries in my DZ and Vengeance Batteries don't cost 500+ points. Vengeance batteries also provide fantastic support too.
