Hi guys
We had a question in a game yesterday.
I had a unit of 15 lootas in a battlewagons when 2 helldrakes decided to flame them a bit... not nice of them i agree.
As 5 of them died, i guess i had to pass a morale check which i failed.
Fortunately being an ork and being still 10, they just hit themselves a bit more but i was wondering if otherwise i should have disembarked to flee? seems kind of weird as in 6th you could not be focused while in a vehicle so the question did not exist.
Thanks for the help

The ork codex explains it pretty clearly with the mob rule chart.
If you fail your normal leadership check that you took for loosing 25%, you roll on the mob rule chart and do what it says.
There are some results on the mob rule chart that say you still fail the check, in which case you would fall back.
However, remember that units embarked in a vehicle or building are fearless and thus cannot fall back.

I'm 99%sure that you don't need to make a leadership test as you are in a vehicle which uses its stat instead.

Big mac the problem is flamers hit the unit inside and caused over 25% casualties. This triggers a test, which if they fail, triggers the Mob rule chart. They cannot actually fall back, since they are embarked, but mob rule goes off on any failed leadership roll of an ork unit.

They can't fail the Morale test as they're Fearless.
Read the transport rules.

Just to pile on the consensus, you shouldn't have even needed to make a morale test.
The only time you make a LD check while embarked is when the vehicle suffers a penetrating hit without destroying the transport outright; then even if you fail that test, the unit can only fire snap shots for the next turn.

SkrawnyNob, Incorrect as Leadership tests for Passages remain unchanged, if it calls for a leadership test the passengers will need to Resolve such a test. Others here have already stated why the Passengers in the Transport automatically pass moral tests, it is an important difference. Not all Leadership tests are created equal....
