So I am going to a 1850 tournament next weekend and I am debating between these two lists. The tournament is 1+1 format with Lords of war allowed.

Farseer, Mantle of laughing god, jetbike, singing spear
7 Fire Dragons, Wave serpent, scat lasers, shuriken cannon, holo fields
4X5 dire avengers, wave serpent, scat lasers, shuriken cannon, Holo fields
2X3 jetbikes with shuriken cannon
Crimson Hunter, exarch
Wraithknight
1841 points

Imperial knight errent

1849

Which one do you guys think would be better?

Also with the new rules for how you can take knights, a combined arms detachment of 1-3 via the FAQ does that mean that if I take one knight I get to take him as a seneschal do I still need to take 3 of them to get one?

I don't know the answer for your errant upgrade question but I do like both lists. If you suspect maelstrom missions, then list one. If you expect modified maelstrom missions then either. If no maelstrom. Yeah, list two.

Well, I'd take the first list.
A WK is almost on par with an Errant.

WK will kill the errant given two turns of guided shooting and a turn of assault, while the best Errant can hope for is around 2W off the WK in retaliation with his large blast. Also 140 points cheaper. Knights really aren't that good for the points.

2 shots strength 10, both hit, one goes through thanks to shield. Same thing next turn. He assualts, with his 5 attacks, missing with around 2, then not glancing with 1, leaving 2 more glances/pens. Leaves it with 2 hull points, and enough back damage to destroy the wraith knight. Am i missing something?
