I've been asked by a friend to assemble his LE Dark Vengeance set, with the special character mini. Does anyone have suggestions for how to make the rest of the bases match up to the style of the special character base? I can do the loose dirt and fill just fine... it's the concrete slabs that are giving me trouble.

(The cheaper and easier the better....)

a common basing for pieces of concrete are either chunks of spure, or sheet plastic, or thin cork sheets.

You can also use chunks of other bases - cut up.

best of luck!

Like mentioned before, cork is awesome for basing. Sometimes across a whole army it can take away from the actual models, but on characters it looks great.

That's nice stuff... but not helping me much.

The special character in the box is standing on what looks like a broken sidewalk. How do I get an effect like that?

Get some high quality plaster or dental plaster (i think hydrocal(???) is ok)

make a thin slab on like a cookie pan

break em up and super glue em to the base. then fill around with sand or texture sand.
