So i get dominate, switch for the primaris, then get terrify, I cannot now switch if for the primaris (now I need to do my 3rd roll on telepathy still hoping for invis), and finally roll and get say dominate again which again I can't change for the primaris, now what happens with the focus?, do I get to re-roll that dominate that came twice? or do i simply get my 3 spells and psy focus does nothing?

In the scenario you lay out, you lose the focus since you swapped out one of the rolled powers for the primaris.

Ive found that if you know that you are going to roll on the same table anyway, you might as well keep your results, as youll get the primiris for free and focus. by switching an unwanted result for primris, you lose out on focus, and besides, every pyschich ability has SOME use
