o start off with a 300 pt army. want something that will kick ass in tournaments but still be fun to play with

For tourneys you will want as many specialist as you can get. Drop the Gorgos, TAGs will only hinder you in most objective games. I'd upgrade the Ectros to HMG and grab kumotil bio engineer.to start

I love the Gorgos, but its definitely a case of trading power for fun. Dying in one hit to flamers sucks baaad
