Checking in to see who's in the HRM looking for any sort of gaming - tabletop, boardgames, and RPGs.

The local GW has regular gaming nights, open gaming etc. There are a lot of local players there. Overall a good place to start if you are looking for WFB or 40K.

Yeah, I checked out the local GW. Unfortunately, my 40k army is just about all 3rd minis that I don't think they'd be overly appreciative of. I'm also looking to play other games, which GW does not support.

I wouldn't worry too much about your mini's being from 3rd, I play with my steel legion force there often enough. Folks are always interested in seeing 'blasts' from the past!

I think he may be referring to 3rd party minis ie non GW minis. i could be wrong.

Yes, my minis are indeed 3rd party, not from 3rd ed. Though I did own a large collection of Mordian metals before I switched to Vic Minis Tannenburg line in resin.

I already asked the manager, and he's strongly prefer if it was mostly GW, and the only GW models in my army now are the commissars and priests.

Almost 2 year bump with an update! Found a group in the city, called the Ordo Haligonias. Predominantly military and organized through them (so we get to use their facilities), but non-military are more than welcome to join. Currently playing 40k and BFG with some X-wing starting up, but open to just about anything.

I just got posted to Shearwater, but live downtown Hali. Where does the club meet?

Right now at the Shearwater gym, which is also inconvenient for me depending on my schedule, as I live in Bedford. We have use of Stadacona too, and most of us are down to play at eachother's place for some beerhammer depending on wife approval.
