I added another drop pod to my GK/IH list, and put it up against a super high-powered Salamanders list led by Vulkan himself. The Salamanders had two 10-man Sternguard in pods, and two Grav Centurion squads. Check it out, let me know what you think!

Glad you guys liked it! His list was (unintentionally) tailor-made to crush an elite army like mine. All that AP2 goodness had me cringing from the start.

@Rurik, How scary is that to see Draigo come raging out of a Drop Pod turn 1??

That alpha strike he has with the Sternguard is sick; and now that Tau intercepter is going to be less prevalent, they should survive most games to annihilate say a Knight and cripple a gravstar (if it's sans coteaz) etc.

I haven't watched the batrep (so this might be explained there,) you do know that Draigo can't be in a Drop Pod as allies can not start in the dedicated transports of their other allies?

Sure he can, he was attached to a unit whom the DT belonged to. Totally legal, and fun to boot.

Yeah my buddy is no slouch, and I helped him build that nasty list, lol.

I would have been more aggressive with the Chapter Master. Bad matchup for you for sure.

As nasty as it would be, I'd enjoy going toe to toe with that list.

Yeah, after the game I realized I possibly should have shunted both DKs, and turbo-boosted the CM up into the Centurions' faces, let them choose one to kill. I was scared of both the firepower and the damn Split Fire, it just kept me penned in. I just wasn't willing to make the potential sacrifice of two DKs, hoping my tac squad would come in and help clear that remaining Centurion or hurt Vulkan's squad, but they didn't come in until too late, and whiffed when I needed some help.

Tigerius let's you re roll your reserves - he might be a good addition to your army and help prevent these types of situations.
