Hello I have just ordered 10 Leman Russes, 1 Baneblade/Variants, 3 Hellhounds/Variants and 1 Hydra. This is going to be my project till I finish them all, but there are somethings I would like to ask which all but one is related to this topic.
1) What kind of Imperial people should I go for for the crew e.g. Cadian, Tallarn....
2) I want to make each one of my tanks different in the details of the models which I do not know how to do for 10 Leman Russes, so I was hoping you guys could come up with some ideas on how to do this as i have some but not for 10 Leman Russes and 3 Hellhounds.
3) Paint style, what should i go for as I do not know what kind of environment they will be in, so i would you to pitch in which some ideas and possible backstory.
4) What Baneblade variant should I go for?

1) Nothing wrong with Cadian, and the bits are in the boxes.
2) I highly recommend making all of the turret hatches hinged so you can swap out the tank commanders. I pinned the turret nozzle for my Hellhounds so I can swap the weapon out at will.
I have a crew member sitting on the back of one of my tanks, having a drink.
For general differences, segregate them into likely squadrons. At least one member of the squadron (if not two) should have extra chains and hooks to do towing, right?
Another might have extra track sections tied to the side.
A couple more may need/want tarps over the back to serve as aerial recognition markers.
3) I'd probably take an urban camo variant myself.
4) Shadowsword. It's always nice having the biggest gun around.

Well, there's a slight risk of gluing something together with it. Only slight, mind.

1) Chem dogs - Gives you a lot of personality and is fun to convert otherwise the traditional tank army would be steel legion or DKoK. the former being a pain in the butt to find or convert 2) See answer 1 - chem dogs will hijack all the things so will have tons of random gear on it as well as various markings and trophies giving you plenty of modeling opportunity. otherwise look into scale tank models they will have a bajillion storage and conversion bits to add in great detail 3) Its up to you. once you figure out part 1. 4) Shadow sword is a great starting point. edit: Also id go with variant "Magnets" for all the tanks if possible

The Demolisher/Punisher/Executioner kit is easy to magnetize the main turret, but I wouldn't bother with the stock Battle Tank/Vanquisher/Exterminator/Eradicator, except for a Battle Tank/Vanquisher option. For the other two tank types, just buy bits to make the hatches.

I was thinking of converting some Tallarn Desert Raiders for the crew of my tanks or convert the Steel Legion guys and could use the forge world DKoK commissar as a Steel Legion commissar as a member of crew for the Baneblade or use the classic Cadian people. But its between them three as for the crew member but which i can't make a full decide which one. I would do chem dogs but since they are under equipped they are probably not best to be in a force of tanks as they wouldn't be given them, unless they looted them which isn't the look i wanted and also I don't know how to convert the crew with mask and tanks on them.
I do like some of the ideas for making each tank different and i will defiantly magnetise the weapons so that the force can be very flexible.

1). I'd say Tallarn or Steel Legion but thats more your choice
2). Put on chains, whips ( ), las guns, bed rolls, canteens, a little bonus I did was take the medic pack from the PCS and use it as stowage with other backpacks, and a funny conversion for Tallarn is to put an air conditioner hanging out of the tank for laughs.
3).Tallarn= desert, Steel Legion= Armageddon, Chem dogs= muddy type paint job, Cadian= anywhere, DKOK= I think anywhere applies here but more urban, Voystron= urban, Praetorian= Grassy plains, Mordion= urban, and Catachan= jungle. You can always mix and match terrain to regiment and let me know if I forgot any
4) I don't really have a say here.

They should come with it already. Edit: I mean they already come with it (at least the older kits) not sure about the new russ kits.
