Hey guys

I have the Military Orders and Ariadna Highland starter sets winging their way to me, and I'm already looking at what to pad the forces out with. Usually I'd wait to play at least a few games with them and go from there, but I have a time sensitive opening to add a few cheap models to them, so I'm open to suggestions on the next few models to add anothe 50 or 100 points to the armies below.

Thanks in advance.

Military Orders:
PanOceania Teutonic Knight with combi-rifle and panzerfaust
Magister Knight with panzerfaust
Specialist Sergeant with multi-sniper rifle
3 Order Sergeants with combi-rifle

Highliander:
2 Ariadna Caledonian Volunteers with rifles
Ariadna Caledonian Volunteer with chain rifle
Ariadna 9th Wulver Grenadier with T2 rifle
Ariadna 1st Highlanders SAS with boarding shotgun
Ariadna 3rd Highlander Grey Rifle with close combat weapon and heavy machine-gun

I've played against Caledonians a lot, and I know a lot about what makes them tick.

Caledonia is a difficult faction to run for new players, and your going to need to exploit their strengths thoroughly to make the faction work - nothing wrong with this, just a fact of how Caledonia rolls. To that end, make sure you have at least one Werewolf, and a full complement of four SAS (some mixture of CRAP and FO options - just proxy as needed nobody should care) and perhaps Uxia.

The other thing you need to do is make sure you have enough cheap models to run at least 1.5 combat groups. Galwegians and chain rifle volunteers (again, proxy, a gun is a gun man) are bread and butter for this.

After that we get into far more subjective territory, but I've seen Caledonia run very successfully with a conscript link of 3 HMG volunteers +2 vanilla/medic/whatever for cheap board control, and then a couple of 112 Doctors (cheap specialist, can patch up link too) and HMG Grey (relatively cheap, very potent active turn HMG)

OKLAHOMA!!!

I've played Military Orders a fair bit, but I'm no expert.

Honestly, I'd expand by getting an Order Sergeant with Spitfire De Fersen and possibly Joan. De Fersen is just such a good utility character, as there isn't a lot he can't do since he's a dead killy hacker. The Order Sergeant will give you access to the specialist sergeant with MSV. Joan is an ok LT. option.

Some of the other knights might be better, but they all do different things, so that part is honestly dependent on your playstyle.

I'd also suggest an Auxilia box, to use as sergeants with sync'd auxbots.

Great thanks guys. I asked the same question on another forum, got a few replies, and there's zero crossover between all the suggestions

Heh heh, but I have a short list to look through now, so thank you to all.
