Subject: Question regarding Necron Deepstrikes

Hey guys,
First post here and I had a question regarding deepstriking.
In a game last night, I used a Cryptek to deepstrike itself and 10 immortals with Veil and some of my immortals landed in a wall due to a slight scatter. They ended up dying and I was wondering if they are still allowed to roll for reanimation or not.

By "dying", I assume you mean they rolled on the Deepstrike Mishap table. If so, then no. As far as I can tell, you don't get reanimations for being destroyed (I believe this is the same wording as sweeping advance).

Yeah, they did. Thank you for the clarification. I'm new to the tabletop game and have a lot to learn.

To be more precise, if they Mishap, the unit is not yet on the board, and as such they would not get to make RP rolls (including EL).
Also, if one model cannot be placed, the whole unit suffers the mishap, not just the models that cannot be placed.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Though landing on terrain that is not impassible is not a misshap and appears to be the situation here. If that is the case the models would take dangerous terrain tests and do get RP from those.

Yes everything you said is correct. My post wasn't clear I meant to simply add an extra clarification as he could have been making a different mistake.
True, however, if the players agreed that the walls were impassable it would be a Mishap. Which is why I said " If they Mishap..."
