Now, anyone who's read my posts before probably knows I dislike looking at Eldar from the perspective of the Serpent spam. After getting some extra Warp Spiders that I couldn't fit in my usual list, I went and rewrote it to include them. What came out is a list based on Fast Attack more than anything else, with some excellent support units to boot. It looks like this:

HQ:

Autarch with Laser Lance, Fusion Gun, Banshees Mask, Eldar Jetbike, Mantle of the Laughing God - 150

Farseer with Runes of Witnessing, Spirit Stones, Eldar Jetbike, Singing Spear - 150

Farseer with Runes of Witnessing, Eldar Jetbike, Singing Spear - 135

TROOPS:

3x3 WRJ - 153

10 Guardian Defenders - 90
- Wave Serpent with TL Scatterlasers, Shuriken Cannons, Holofields, Ghostwalk Matrix - 155

FAST ATTACK:

6 Swooping Hawks: Exarch with Sun Rifle - 121

7 Warp Spiders - 133

7 Warp Spiders - 133

Crimson Hunter: Exarch with 2xBLs - 180

HEAVY SUPPORT:

3 Warwalkers with 3x2 Scatterlasers - 210

Wraithknight - 240

Total: 1850 points

Between everything in my army being either S6+ or Bladestorm and having lots of TL shots (Guide, Prescience), I think I have enough firepower to handle most lists. This list should also be quite good at capturing Maelstrom of War objectives and is crazy mobile. Against tough alpha-strike armies, I might actually reserve everything except the 3 HQs and hide them out of LOS. With the Autarch and perhaps even Scrier's Gaze, everything in my army should be coming in T2 and from where I want them. The maneuverability of it is almost unmatched, but the thing that's so great is that at any time I can split my 3-man bomb and give Ignores Cover (Perfect Timing) or a LD boost to my squads. I can even go MC/vehicle hunting with Psychic Shriek and their Spears. I get the feeling this is a really fun list to play.

What do you think? C&C appreciated!

Looks fine. I'm assuming farseers are joining autarch?

Correct. I plan to shift them around often during the game, though.

What would you say would be my biggest problem-armies?

The Twilight Zone

Looks good.

An insanely massive horde gunline like IG or orks could be an issue. You might not be strong enough to weather the early game fire and in CC you just can't overwhelm that many bodies. The 3 man jetbike teams can be decent little placeholders for your characters, but are fragile on their own. Certain weapons will hard counter your HQ bike team so be careful there. Certainly bad reserve rolls can outright hose you.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

I'm rolling on charts depending on my opponent. Probably Fate/Div on one Farseer and full Telepathy on the other.

Gunline hordes I can definitely see being a problem. Shoving my WK down their throat while Spiders and Hawks come at them from the side would hopefully work to distract them from my jetbikes long enough, in such a case. Positioning right will likely be the most important aspect of playing this list.

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

Ignores cover like Tau could be an issue for your bike troops, as could armies with high strength shooting to down the wraithknight, once it does down, your list is very squishy, granted it DOES bring a ton of firepower to the table.

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum.

The solo Serpent seems out of place I'd get 5 more units of bikes instead. With 8 units of bikes you've alot of ObSec throw away units to grab VPs early and mid game.

The Crimson Hunter is a bit of a points sink for what it acheives, whilst the War Walkers lack the target saturation to make them last long enough to achieve anything. I'd dump them for another Knight and more Spiders.

Otherwise looks a quite good. I am concerned about having 2 Farseers in the Autarch unit. He's an annoyance throw away unit and they are not which means you'll have to be much more defensive with him than normal whilst ignores cover fire has a no brain target that gives up StW and your Psychic lynchpins and 435 points. You'll NEED invisibility on that unit.

Perhaps drop a Farseer or get a bigger bike unit that they can join so the Autarch can run solo.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Good poimts, Flingit. I'm rather constrained by models, atm, but I'd consider 2 Hornets with 2x Pulse Lasers a valid replacement for the Hunter. Unfortunately I don't even more Spiders. Just 15. And I don't plan on getting any more. A second WK would be great instead of the War Walkers, but he's expensive in cash and my War Walkers always achieve something worthwhile. Because Outflank is such a useful tool.

More bikes seems wise, how big would you make the squads?

Keep in mind I eventually plan to add one Farseer to the Spiders, while my Warlord will probably rendezvous with one of the bike teams and skip around on objectives. The Autarch would be alone and upfront from T2 onwards. He's just a delivery mechanism and a safe haven in one. And they can go vehicle hunting and small-squad hunting together all the same.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I've made a slight adjustment to the list. Instead of the Crimson Hunter, I added 5 Shining Spears. The list I'll be trying out to start with is:

HQ:

Autarch with Scorpion's Chainsword, Soulshrive, Fusion Gun, Banshees Mask, Eldar Jetbike(Warlord) - 133

Farseer with Mantle of the Laughing God, Eldar Jetbike, Singing Spear, Runes of Witnessing - 175

Farseer with Spirit Stones, Eldar Jetbike, Singing Spear, Runes of Witnessing - 150

3x3 WRJ - 153

10 Guardian Defenders
- Wave Serpent with TL Scatterlasers, Shuriken Cannon, Holofields - 235

6 Swooping Hawks, Exarch with Sunrifle - 121

2x7 Warp Spiders - 266

5 Shining Spears, Exarch with Star Lance, Monster Hunter, Hit and Run - 165

3 War Walkers with 3x2 Scatterlasers - 210

Wraithknight - 240

Total: 1848

The plan is for the Farseer and the Autarch to have a place with Shining Spears, who provide 3+ jink by themselves,
as well as a decent threat magnet, allowing my Serpent and War Walkers some breathing room. I have enough AA as is. I put Soulshrive inside because I want the Exarch to take challenges, while the Autarch kills the rest, then go big game hunting after he's pumped.

I feel this is the best I can get without resorting to another WK. Can't wait to test it.
