Just finished this one up last week. It's my tallest piece of terrain yet, a Hi-Rise Tenement building.

Built from a combination of parts of Pokemon and Toy Story playsets that I found at reasale shops and alot of other bits.

It's part of my ongoing project to build a city layout that is industrial, and very worn. The idea is that it is run-down, grimy and even abandoned in places, but not one of the Bombed-out cityscapes that appear in so much wargaming these days. I'd like it to function equally well in near or far-future gaming. I've got a number of medium sized buildings, but the focus from here out is going to be mostly large buildings that are useable in skirmish games, but big enough to provide lots of cover for the 28mm Mech games that I've been running yearly at the Little Wars Convention.

You can visit our club's blog for lots of other clickable pictures (open in "new tab" to bypass the Blogger slideshow and see them in their larger sizes) as well as pre-paint in-progress pictures and how-to instructions. http://chicagoskirmish.blogspot.com/2014/07/tenement-high-rise-from-toy-playsets.html

While it is an interesting looking piece of terrain and would probably look good with a set of 2 or 3 more similar to it, I feel like I need to point out that this is in fact a low-rise building. Mid-rise is 4-10 stories and high-rise is generally 10 or more.

I just love the Timber Wolf [Mad Cat]. I have one myself that am using for a Knight right now.

I am a Furry that plays with little Toy Soldiers; if you are taking me too seriously I am not the only one with Issues.

Very True,

However, given the compression of Wargaming terrain (nearly everything is significantly smaller than it would be if really built to scale) and compared to most other structures, I think it qualifies.

I even limited the # of floors for gaming access. It's tall enough to be a 6 story building in 28mm, but I've only given it two internal above-grade floors (more in the blog posts) plus the roof top.

Thanks, that's very much the look I was thinking about. A future that is dirty, but not destroyed. I've got some other projects in the works that are in the same vein.

I like it, the Timberwolf is a nice touch.

Thanks, I think every picture of a building can benefit from a Timberwolf!
