I finally have something to post here after joining last year! I was looking for another site where I could show off some of the 40k stuff that I paint to other fans and the name of this board seemed like a fitting place to post pictures of orks and everything else that I paint and collect, so here is my first post. (not to mention the emoticons, reason enough to join)

This here is the Ork Warboss from the Black Reach set that I finally got around to figuring out a color scheme for. I tried quite a few for my army before stumbling on this one of the dark green grey with steel and tarnished brass on a sort of red desert base. I think it's original enough to stand out, while being well worn and dirty enough to be orky enough for my tastes.

So anyway, no conversion on this, just the stock model. The claw was my favorite part to paint the thing is wicked! I don't think this dude will end up being the main warboss for my boyz, but he will do for now! See ya around with other posts as I paint them up.

This looks less like a mini and more like a painting. 10/10

Wow, I can definitely say that's the best paintjob I've seen on that miniature before.

Incredible work - you've achieved the absolute best outcome a miniature painter can hope for - you've brought the model to life.

Can't wait to see more!

Hey all, I'm humbled by your kind words here seriously. You're all too kind.

I'm glad you get a kick out of this guy and I most definitely will be posting more of my stuff here. I paint all the time and have a massive backlog of 40k and fantasy models to get to. Just recently finished up a Forgeworld XV9 Battlesuit that I'll post this weekend when I get some time. Thanks again for the warm reception

+1 to what the others have said. The skin looks like skin, his teeth look like teeth. The gore on the klaw, the boss pole, everything has verisimilitude.

That isn't a model. It is an Ork. Brilliant.

The glass of the eye... it's so vivid and perfect, you've got the glass effect done with pinpoint accuracy, I think the skin looks too busy myself, but the glass surfaces are just inspirational.
