This isn't too far from where I live actually, maybe a 15 minute drive away. Kinda comical once you get past the fact that:
1. All those poor peeps stuck on the bridge who'll be waiting forever for the traffic to clear, as the Skyway Bridge is the main link from Burlington/GTA to Niagra region... and we're heading into a long weekend.

2. It's the main route from Burlington/GTA to the freaking Niagra/Buffalo border crossing!

Hopefully the damage isn't quite as bad as the initial fears...

Long weekend ahead, huge festival in Toronto, only one main highway access route for US visitors coming up...
The "alternate" street all the eastbound traffic's being diverted onto btw is only 2 lanes, AND, has the added headache of also travailing across the Burlington Canal which is a major shipping route to the harbour. (the steel mills rely almost entirely on ships passing into the bay)

Traffic is so bad now that the city's had to re-programme lights on a number of streets just to try and keep things flowing!
And our local transit is fethed up too, since every single bus has to take at least one of the affected streets to cross into the train terminal.

And the Skyway will likely be out of commission for days.

All because of a drunken idiot.
