I, like most individuals, am a poor sap just trying to get by in a plastic soldier world.

I would love to start playing a Space Marine army. Most notably a drop pod army. I made a list with about 7 drop pods, and frankly, do not really consider the current GW pod to be a great deal, what costing more then the number of points it costs.

I went a looking and found what looks to be a pretty good alternative.

I was wondering, has anyone purchased these kits before? Are they a suitable replacement for the current GW model? WOuld anyone happen to have any comparison pics? And last question, what is their delivery time like to North America. I wouldn't need these until Novemeber, but you never know!

Thanks everyone!

Curious as well, as I have a similar interest in drop-pods that aren't outlandishly priced.

They have a NEW pod out now.

It's more ball shaped, and has an interior.

THREE out of my 15 drop pods for my old marine army were those ones, though (one was an actual kit one, and the other 11 were foamcard and card proxies made from the old GW France templates.)

Why 15? I had a full company, and with dreads and stuff, wanted to be able to do a drop company if I wanted to.
Then my nephew and his rottie found my case of marines (and the dog ate a lot of them.).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Seems they do, but that one is significantly more expensive! I am going for effectiveness!

Would you say they are pretty spot on in size compared to the GW pod model chromedog?

They're an excellent kit.

They are slightly LARGER than the GW kits but still look good once painted.
