This is my first attempt at making an Elysian list. Please let me know any mistakes or oversights I have made, as well as suggestions, thanks.
(List is made using IA 3 -2nd ed.).

Elysian Drop Troops
Elysian CCS - 4x Sniper rifle/ grenade launcher/ flamer

Elysian Veterans - 3x Meltagun + Valkyrie - 2x HB, 2x rocket pods, multi laser
Elysian Veterans - 3x Meltagun + Valkyrie - 2x HB, 2x rocket pods, multi laser

Vendetta - 3x lascannon, 2x HB
Vendetta - 3x lascannon, 2x HB

Sentry Gun battery - HB
Sentry Gun battery - HB
Sentry Gun battery - HB

Allies: Inquisition
Inquisitor - 3x servo skulls

1000points

The aim of the list is to deepstrike 4 flyers on turn one, through the use of combat drop special rule (4 flyers, 3 sentry guns, up to half can deepstrike turn 1), and use the inquisitors' servo skulls to reduce the risk of scattering.

The Elysians may or may not ride in the Valkyries, depending on how much anti air the opponent has, or on how necessary deepstriking meltaguns will be.

The half of your army can be in reserves thing did not carry over to 7th. Or is it a special intrinsic rule?

Aftermath can be calculated.

The Elysians are allowed to perform a combat drop turn 1 with certain units. It's similar to the Drop Pod Assault rule.

It's an Elysian specific rule, that lets half of the units with the "combat drop" special rule deep strike into play automatically on turn one. The other half may deploy normally or deepstrike as normal as long as they are not flyers, which have to go into reserves.

It's like drop pod assault but with planes, sentinels and sentry guns.

For me this is a big plus of Elysians, as I hate waiting for reserves to come on before my army reaches its max potential.

Can't remember if the Elysians in IA3 have the updated cost for guard gunships; you may meet some resistance from potential opponents if they don't.

Certainly codex inquisition and the new Elysian D-99 have increased costs.

List-wise, it should work. Essentially, you've got five gunships and some cheerleaders, so it all comes down to how confident you are at handling guard flyers. The valkyries provide scarily good crowd control and the vendettas are exceptional antitank.

I'd say don't expect much out of the sentry guns but I suspect you don't and are just using them as the cheapest unit with the "Combat Drop" rule....

Vendettas do not have the Combat Drop special rule. Sorry

I played a list from IA3 2nd Ed but played with the AM codex price for the Valkyries, but kept the Elysian rules. I thought that was the fairest way

I am now using IA4 2nd Ed with Solomon Lok as my Warlord. Would recommend him... plus all the fliers become BS4.

Does anyone know how it is possible to take an Inquisitor with a Vendetta. The IA4 Elysian list does not have any Vendettas in it :-(

Guardsman: "Sir, we appear to have brought knives to a gunfight"

BANG!!!

Commissar: "Anymore questions?"

Can you put up a review of the D99 book? There isn't one that I have seen yet.

Nonsense. The Battle Company box is perfect for filling out your ranks of aspect warriors with a large contingent from the Screaming Baldies shrine.
