So I thought why not start showing my army off and its progress although that will be slow as money is not something I have a lot of, but not to worry. Hoping to get some opinions of my painting and army, and other stuff. and yes i know my painting is not by any means near amazing, but i think its not to bad IMO

So I found another set of CSM Sprues, so I Started the next squad of Red Corsairs, and so I started with the aspiring champion, which took an hour or two he is finished but its currently 2:25am so i'll post a pic later on

What kind of paint did you use? Is there a method to this colour storm? I say you need a more detailed brush to make them at least look cleaner. Right now they look like they are in the warp.

I use the citadel range, and yes new brushes are on my list of things to get as my old ones are frayed and, so painting is becoming difficult, also the older models, need a new coat of paint, as i use the brighter evil suns scarlet. however a warp look might work in some cases XD

Nice btw I have a suggestion do you drybrush or use oil paints? because that could add definition to your models.

Washes!

Washes will turn a plain pieces into detailed art. you got a nice start. throw some washes on them and then highlight with a small detail brush (don't buy GW ones). Goto a art store and get a 00 size brush. or at least git it a dry brush of a light colour

I don't dry brush although i need to start, and here are all the paints and washes I have, which i only really use on flesh :/

Its a good start to a palette. Don worry mon we all have some things to get use to it life ^u^

I reccommend 3 washes to add to your palette. Im not sure what the new names of them are

Devlan Mud
Gryphonne Sepia
Badab Black

The sepia is great for the reds and to make brass. For brass paint mithril silver. then add 3-4 coats of Sepia and it turns a brassy colour.
Badab Black is good for the blacks or making things darker.
Devlan Mud is great for everything
