Finsih your Pre-heresy, forge world Army played out of Grey Knights book
COBRA (gi joe) IG army. Because Major Blood as Pask would be awesome.
Wait for your Dark Eldar book to come out and finish them up.
Back to your first army from 1995, Space Wolves!

Hello Dakka peeps.

Well after a year or So of Playing Daemons, i feel like I have accomplished a lot and want to switch it up. Lots of placings, (Including 7 first, 3 painting awards, and a couple players choice), in tournaments held in New England Area. The Wiz in Mass, BattleGrounds in RI/Mass, BattleStandard in CT., Time Machine in Ct. And of coarse winning templecon/Onslaught was great.
I am the first to admit I am pretty competitive, but like to think I always played without tricks or banking on my opponent forgetting something, even reminding my opponent to shoot with a unit he forgot and in some cases even when It was already my turn.
Prior to 7th my list was lots of Fast Cavalry, a Lord of Change, Bel'akor when he came out and 2 mini troops and the portalglyph (nope not the grimoire or fateweaver). When 7th came out I switched out Bel for Faty at that point do to witch-fire and grounding rules changing.
It was great playing so many people, and many thanks to everyone who enjoyed my Daemons and compliments along the way. But now its time to shelf em since i will not be going to Nova open or Invitational.

So whats next? I have put up 4 options and interested in what people would like to see. From a competitive stand point I think all these armies can hang ( As i believe 80% of success is the player not the army), plus 2 of them have books coming out soon. I just need to pick a project and go full boar on it, and I simply cannot decide.

So Pre heresy thousand son using MKIII. Running them, as Grey Knights. I have most of the models I need to make this list and here is my starting point of whats assembled and/or painted.

COBRA themed IG army. I have everything I need as far as 9 to 10 tanks. Including enough vets, bits and extras to make even the thundermachine and dreadnoks, as well as cobra Rattler with Wild weasel pilot. Major Blood and Cobra commander as Tank Commanders.

FINISH YOUR DARK ELDAR SLACKER! I have a complete army, played it prior to deamons half done. doing all the scales burned me out. Here is my starting point. (I have 30 wyches, 10 wracks, 25 warriors unpainted)

Back to your roots: Basically just acquired the new flyer and 2 sets of storm claw space wolves. I also have about $200 store credit to grab a few new dreads and codex next week.

I've had fun playing Horus Heresy games, although Thousand Sons aren't out yet, so perhaps it's worth waiting for their release. I'd say use your Dark Eldar for now and when FW release rules for Thousand sons that's when you should work on your Thousand Sons. Or maybe get them ready for when they get rules, then play Dark Eldar.

thanks for your input. I plan to only play 40k at this time. Its a thousand army, using FW and MKIII but counts as 40k Grey Knights.

But heck if I did to TSON next, i could play 30k if people in my area got into it.

Would love to see the sons as grey knights. Lol. Irony is not lost on me.
