I've been looking into this game for a few weeks now (couple of friends got into it, played a few games with their models) and now I'm looking to start it up as well. However, I don't really want to drop a ton of money on it all at once, and the only place I could find that sells the rulebook is the site itself - and as someone in the United States, that means dropping right around $25 on shipping alone.

Anyone know of any online retailers who are selling to the US with reasonable shipping costs? Any places actually based in the US?

Their distribution wing, e-figures, had them for local stores to order.

with over 2000 posts you cannot find on the internet where to buy this in the US with reasonable costs and discounts. You need to get out some more.

Thanks for the replies (and thanks for the snark, tiger g, really wanted to be berated in my simple quest for Dropzone). I'll have to take a look at those stores and see if they have what I need (I saw that War Store was out of stock of both things that I wanted to buy right off the bat).

For what it's worth, I tried doing a few Google searches for stores that sold the game, but they all seemed to direct me back to Hawk Wargames' website, which requires expensive international shipping, which is why I posted a topic here.

As mentioned, I get my Dropzone almost exclusively from the Warstore and from Miniatures Market. They are the most reliable of all the stores - and usually have the best prices.

I typically buy from The Warstore. Although they tend to sell out of DZC restocks fairly quickly. Last time I ordered something that was out of stock on their website however, I only had to wait a couple weeks extra for them to get in more. They tend to be extremely good at communication if you e-mail them additionally. I once thought I ordered something that was out of stock, but they sent me stock from their western warehouse instead to fill the order. The end result being me getting my order earlier than expected. I thought that was really cool.

Although for particularly difficult to acquire models (like the highly popular Neptune Dropship) I tend to order from Hawk Wargames directly. It cost me a bit more, but I've never had an order from them not be shipped almost immediately.

Miniature market.com since your in the states if you order more than $100 you get free shipping. (At least last I saw on their site) get together with some of your pals and I'm sure you can find enough stuff.

Don't worry about the negative peeps here , there's more good than bad. I still ask people the best places to buy things too, its the smart way since there are some gold mines out there that don't get the hype they deserve. Also posting your wants sometimes helps as you might get a reply from someone who bought into a game that is dropping out of it for any number of reasons(bills, space, moved where no one plays, fed up to heck with GW etc...)

All the restock problems in the United States was solved last week. Even that, the minis are selling quick, specially the air troop transports.
