I'm presuming it's okay, but taking Cypher's Chosen formation is okay in ANY Unbound list? I'm planning on using a mix of SM (Raptor list), Helbrute formations and IG to act as the Alpha Legion.

Don't see why not... it's Unbound. Just remember the unbound restrictions from the allies/detachments chart on page 126-127 of the MWB (Medium White Book).

Heck, you could just add Cypher to any army without his formation thanks to Unbound.
