Evening all,
I'm pretty new to X-wing, and there's an upcoming tournament that I would like to play in. Below is the list I plan to bring:
Soontir Fel (Push the Limit) - 27 + 3
Turr Phennir (Push the Limit) - 25 + 3
Tetran Cowall (Push the Limit) - 24 + 3
Total: 85 points
I love playing with Interceptors, as they 100% match my play style. I'm not sure what to do with the leftover points though, and would definitely appreciate some advice.

Interceptors are a hoot to fly, but make no mistake you'll be dancing on a knife's edge the whole way. And personally, I'd have it no other way!
Best way to get some added durability on those squints is to simply add hull upgrades. 3 points to prevent getting one-shot from a bad roll.
For the pilots, Turr is great but Tetran is iffy. His ability is somewhat counter to the Interceptor's love of multiple actions. Best way I've found to get mileage out of him is Outmaneuver, Adrenaline Rush or simply Veteran Instincts.
Turr also benefits greatly from Veteran Instincts as it allows him to fire and dodge from almost everybody.
Other options are to consider are Carnor Jax for his focus/evade denial, Royal Guard or Saber Squadron pilots for numbers, a named Phantom for a similar slippery ace or Darth Vader in his TIE Advanced as a tankier option. Hell, you could run out Rexler for another elite pilot.
Darth Vader w/ Outmaneuver, Engine Upgrade (36)
Soontir Fel w/ Push the Limit, Royal Guard TIE, Hull Upgrade, Targeting Computer (35)
Turr Phennir w/ Veteran Instincts, Hull Upgrade (29)

That particular list doesn't look that strong, even if you add a TIE Fighter. Soontir Fel + Push the Limit is awesome. If you can toughen it up with Hull Upgrade, Stealth Device or Shield Upgrade, it's a great option. But running three Interceptors as the core of your squad is really asking to get chewed up by Lando, Chewie or Han because their turrets just don't care about your maneuverability, and Interceptors are fragile. A lot of folks are running YT-1300s right now to keep Phantoms from dominating, and that also diminishes the Interceptor's greatest strength, which is to maneuver and barrel roll out of the enemy's forward firing arcs and hit them from the side or behind. Doesn't work against a turret.
I would use one or two Interceptors at most, and look into bulking up the numbers of TIE Fighters, or adding a Bounty Hunter or other Firespray into the mix. Generally, I think it's a good idea to get your total attack numbers up and give your opponent a lot of individual ships to worry about -- or get your overall hit points up.

Really appreciate the advice, I've never fought a millennium falcon. I like a lot of suggestions, but unfortunately my optIons are a little limited. Here are the sets I've bought:
2 core sets
1 imperial ace set
1 tie interceptor
1 tie defender
1 tie bomber
1 tie phantom
1 a wing
1 b wing
1 e wing
With these limitations, what would you suggest?

Royal Guard titles to give you more mod options - then go with Hull upgrades and either Targeting computers or fire control systems.
Could also trade PtL on one of them for Predator

Would whisper + advanced cloak + predator (39), putting a hull upgrade on soontir, and ditching tetran be a good option?

That's a good swap, I think.
Whisper + Advanced Cloaking Device + Veteran Instincts is a really potent ship, but fragile -- so Veteran Instincts helps you avoid taking fire while uncloaked, but Predator is a fun option as well.
To support Whisper, you might want to leave Soontir behind and get as many TIE Fighters on the table as possible (maybe with an Interceptor if you can squeeze it in). It looks like you don't have the TIE Fighter expansion, which I would strongly recommend since it comes with some great unique TIE Fighter pilots.

Okay, so here is the list I'm going with (except for one debate)
Whisper + Veteran Instincts + Advanced Cloaking Device
Soontir Fel + Push the Limit + Stealth Device
Turr Phennir + Push the Limit
So the total right now is 98 points. My debate is do I try to ensure I have the initiative, or do I take a Fire Control System on Whisper to give her some extra oomph.

You want the initiative so that you're shooting with your 9 on Whisper before others shoot with theirs.
