Hi guys, I'm most likely to be buying the Island of Blood box set as my first step into the world of warhammer fantasy. Now, as a 40k player, I know that there are a lot of differences, one of which being the battle standard bearer. I've also heard that for skaven, the BSB is almost a must take. Because I will be trading off the high elves for another copy of the skaven, I will have two warlocks and two warlords. One of these warlords I intend to convert into my BSB by removing the small cleaver and replacing it with a large banner, and also adding more banners to his back. Is this a fairly easy thing to do with his back, and what banners would you recommend? My personal fluff for my BSB is that he likes to steal enemy banners after they are defeated, so any race would be fine.

I mainly play 30k, but am still fairly active with 40k. I play Warcry, Arena Rex, Middle-Earth, Blood Bowl, Batman, Star Wars Legion as well

I personally used the one from the beastman gors set, clipped the brazier of the top of him, lengthened the back pole with some carved sprue, and then pinned it on. I'll upload a picture in the morning.

Be careful though, as he already has some balance issues, and mine still rarely stands up.
