A passenger plane has landed at Manchester Airport in England after being escorted by the Royal Air Force, Manchester police confirm to Fox News.
βAn incoming plane has been escorted into the airport by the Royal Air Force as a result of information received by the pilot about a possible device on board,β Police Chief Superintendent John O'Hare said.
"We don't know how genuine this threat is but it is absolutely vital we deal with the situation as a full emergency,β he added.
There are currently no takeoffs or landings at the airport, according to Sky News. Officers are responding to the scene.

On the BBC at the minute.
It's a bit weird that they only found out at the end of a 8ish hour flight.

It's company policy never to establish ownership of a device. It's always "a device", never... your device.

I hope they DO shove 'the device' up his arse. The bugger caused my train to be cancelled, meaning I had to take a different, longer route.
God, I'm British.

Imagine finding a "possible device" on a plane... I mean, that's about as useful as saying that there were "possible things" onboard.
Is that just a British thing? To be so tacit about it, I mean. It seems too, er... subtle for fox news.
