My Igloo

Hey there! New to the forum and just recently got back into war-gaming after a two year hiatus. I played lizards before but, with the new book I would enjoy some advice on my list. I want it to be semi competitive and I'm open to changes, additions or subtractions and changes in the lore for my Slann. Also with the new book (new for me at least) some tips and advice on the lizards would be awesome to explain what's changed and what's worthy to take.

Lords:
- Slann with BSB, cube of darkness, becalming cogitation, focus of mystery (high magic), skaven pelt banner (480)

Heros:
- Skink Priest lvl 1 lore of beasts with engine of the gods, sharpened horns, unstoppable stampede, dispell scroll (400)
- Scar Vet with light armour, enchanted shield, sword of strife (131)

Core:
- 25 saurus warriors full command (305)
- 25 saurus warriors full command (305)
- 10 skink skirmishers (70)
- 10 skink skirmishers (70)

Special:
- Bastilladon with solar engine (150)
- 23 temple guard full command with razor standard, sword of battle on champion (417)

Rare:
- 2 salamanders with extra handlers (168)

So my thinking was the unit with the Slann and scar vet would have frenzy and armour piercing. Just a question on focus of mystery; am I still able to use the contemplations lore rule and say switch out hand of glory or whichever spell for a spell in the life lore, and still keep the rest of the high magic spells?

Okay

1. In a saurus block heavy list Lore of Light is your friend.

2. Run your scarvet with Armor of destiny and halbred (he does pretty good and really benefits from LoL.

3. Skink off the steg. He will just die because the steg wants to be in combat. Under the new rules your priest only receives a 5+ armor save.

4. Forget sword of batlle on your champion.

5. if your going to do this more saurs are needed.

Too big. I like Units of 30 (6x5) but to each his own.

add another skink hero, with predatory fighter, you dont want your line ruined with the forced persue

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.
