The EA force under the command of Captain Mysto has the strongest strategic position in the sector (61 SP) and a good amount of intel on enemy positions. (57 RP)  Mysto is ready to begin to make a play to establish his dominance in the sector and assert some control.  Beware this cagey Earth Commander.

The "Drakkar Noir" Narn force (Does that smell funny to you too?) has burst into the system with authority.  They now have about the same strategic positioning as the EA (60 SP) and a lot more intel (117 RP).  Don't be surprised if the Narn make a move for dominance soon as well.   The Narn war-like tendencies are apparently serving them well.

Talon Commander Dakurt of the Drazi has proved that they are no push over in a recent action with the ISA.  This major victory in preserving their supplies as they construct an orbital base, combined with there recon efforts against most forces in the sector have the Drazi in a good strategic position (34 SP) and strong intel (108 RP).  Although the Drazi are not quite ready to make a move for control, they are strong enough to be a viable target for either the Narn commander or the EA's Mysto.

The Vree have engaged a wide variety of forces and are clearly operating in a very Vree like maner: Gather information.  While they've been pushed back in recent engagements, they have done remarkable damage and have achieved as good a strategic position as the Drazi (33 SP).  But there information gathering is unsurpassed.  No other race comes close to matching the Vree intel at this time.  (185 RP)  What they will do with this information is unclear. What is clear is that they are a definite force to be concerned about in the sector and a viable target for either Narn or Earth conquest attempts.

The Centari have also been highly visible in the sector, but their efforts have met with mixed results.  With the exception of some very early success against the Drazi, all their other engagements have been hard fought affairs.  Recently they did achieve a glorious victory over Mysto in a hard fought defense.  Pushing back on the dominant force in the sector has given them a good strategic position (27 SP)  and typical of Centari their network of information is still strong (89 RP).  Proving themselves a thorn in the EA's side may have drawn the attention of the Narn, who might have an eye on their assets, or Mysto make seek vengeance.  Either way, the two big forces in the sector could turn their eye on the Centari for control.

Anla-Shok's ISA force started out strong, but has suffered a terrible loss recently at the hands of the Drazi.  And their potential has faltered because of it.  Loosing 5 White Stars, with one of them being captured, definitely has put a dent in the plans of the Rangers.  They did managed to heavily damage the Drazi supplies, and this has given them a decent strategic position (19 SP) but they are getting low on intel (30 RP).   They are not a strong enough force in the sector to be considered as a control target by the Narn or EA, but watch out.  The Rangers fortune can change quickly.

There are rumors of other forces in the sector, including as many as 3 additional EA fleets, Vorlons, and even some Shadow vessels. To date, however, non have engaged in anything but light recon actions.   Until they show themselves in larger actions, little is known of their potential.

Good thing there are lots of White Stars and that they have numbers, not names. At the rate I was losing them yesterday, I'd be out of names already. And Dakurt, don't hurt your scaly hand patting yourself on the back: you saved two ships of comfy chairs. You will so pay for your perfidy. :S

We're more excited about the capture of some rangers and their impending torcher with soft pillows and comfy chairs than worried about supply ships.

You captured one Ranger...remember, my ships are lightly crewed. And they all knew what they were signing up for.

And they all knew what they were signing up for.

But did they know they were signing up for...THE COMFY CHAIR?!?!

Plus, don't forget that the "Crew" count is abstract. It actually represents probably more than 1 guy. Or maybe not....

In anybosy else's case, I'd agree. In my case, I think it's close to literal. And besides, the ship you captured was dead in space after a reactor implosion. I'm guessing the decks were pretty clear by then...

They were all just moaning wounded, ready for the chair. What was the actual crew count when captured? Was it 1? Just curious.
