Doesn't seem like you'll get enough shooting in to do significant damage to your opponent's army, nor do you have enough melee to fight toe-to-toe in CC.

My suggestion would be to split up the wild riders into multiple units to maximize on attacks and charges, drop a sorcerer (or perhaps downgrade to level 1 or 2), drop the treekin for more glade guard and maybe another unit of wild riders, and drop the glade riders for glade guard (less points for more shooty, don't have to start off the table).

Eternal guard make a solid speedbump, and are quite good in forests, but won't be winning you combats (barring crazy spells ofc). You may consider going lvl 4 shadow instead of life or death, for the initiative test spells, lowering enemy toughness for your shooting, and mindrazoring eternal guard (or any elf for that matter). Death is amazing though, so it's a tough call. Could pull off a level 2 death. That many points in magic will be great when you roll 10+ on WoM, but that will be quite rare. The rest of the time you would be content with one level 4 and maybe a support caster or two.

So IMO both shadow and death are the best Lores for wood elves. The whole point of the first spellweaver is to cast Okkam's on the eternal guard (here's 20 rerolling to hit ASF Str 9 attacks). The Death will hopefully get purple sun and lure the enemy into the woods with me or get any of the character targeting spells to cast while in the shooting phase the Waystalker finishes them off. The Life caster is just there for support. I wasn't real attached to the tree kin. Splitting up the wild riders is a good idea.

eternal guard bring nothing to the table, at least with glad guard with hagbane arrows you will do damage.

I usually run 40 with hagbane and 15 wildrider bus.

Honestly try running one mage with Death and bringing in more way watchers?

Wait...Glade Guard in a Wood Elf list? That's so last book.


On a serious note. Fast cav. It's good. The fact that it ambushes is a small price to pay.

Also, two of the same rares. This list is illegal.

Not for nothing, but arnt arrows considered enchanted items? I thought you couldnt have more than one of the same arrows on a unit... Could be wrong, maybe this should go in you make the call section.

1: Have you thought of taking away the Waywatcher Sentinel and one Great Eagle to instead add 3 more Waywatchers? When I play them I try to have at least 12 in one group.

2: Since you have 8 Treekins in one unit I'd say they fulfill almost the same roll as the Eternal Guards. I'd personally switch a few of those Treekins for peharps Wardancers to fill one of your own requirements(?); everyone else responds to threats.
Wardancers are in my experience flexible enough to do something like that.
