So I'm still building my csm army and have been toiling with some lists. Would this one work well for a semi competitive list?
-HQ-
Be'lakor - 350
Chaos Lord - Juggernaut, Axe of Blind Fury, Sigil, Mark of Korea - 170
-Elites-
Mayhem Pack - 3x Helmut, Multi-Melta, Powerfist, Heavy Flamers - 345
-Troops-
Chaos Cultists x10 - 50
Chaos Cultists x10 - 50
Chaos Cultists x10 - 50
Chaos Cultists x20 - 90
-Fast Attack-
Heldrake - Baleflamer - 170
Heldrake - Reader Autocannon - 170
-Heavy Support-
Maulerfiend - Lashertendrils - 135
Maulerfiend - Lashertendrils - 135
Maulerfiend - Lashertendrils - 135
So my idea was to have the small units of Cultists camp my objectives while the Lord joins the big squad and marches up the field towards another objective then splitting off and doing his own this while the big Cultist mob ties down a unit or holds an objective.
Be'lakor will fly around with following the Maulerfiends giving them invis and dealing with vehicles and mcs. Maulerfiends hit tanks and other small units.
The Mayhem pack deep strikes where they need to be and either flame some infantry, pop some tanks and assault something with their Powerfists.
Flame drake helps with guys in cover and general meq equivalent units while the reader drake take care of any fliers.
Sound good or am I missing something important?

I think it looks good, it's a neat way to use hell brutes and the triple mauler fiend is always awesome.

Heh.
At 1850 points a single Heldrake is good enough against a single enemy flyer. If your opponent has 2 or 3 Av11 or Av12 flyers might be a problem but hey you cannot prepare for spammy armies.

1 heldrake autocannons, + vector strike, the flamer heldrake can vector strike as well as can bel'akor, that actually looks like lots of antiair
On the list i feel a Chaozilla vibe, which is great, but don't see what is the jugger lord doing there? if he rides alone he is going to get blown by all the lesser shots that can't harm AV12. I'd either drop him and try to fit a 2 shooting helbrutes (auto/las/plasma cannon & missile Launcher) or maybe take out some cultists or 1 mauler and get 5 spawns to ride with him. A juggy with 5 spawns with invisibility now that is one tough cookie.
Just read that you intend to put the juggy with the cultists, if he is going to be slowed down by the 6 in movement non-fleet runs of the cultists you should increase it to a 30man squad and put Kharn in there. Kharn is a beast and would bring psy protection with his blessing of the blood god from any witchfire on your big mob. Also it would give the 30 man hatred.

A jugger in cultists? I've tried it, with 30 mind, and it doesn't really work. They die, fail to move very far and aren't scary enough.
Get some spawn. Or bikes. They do the job.
The rest is fine.

Also I wasn't too sure about the jugger Lord either so replacing him is no big deal especially since we I don't have most of these models yet.
I kinda wish I could fit a defiler in there somehow. How are defilers these days anyway?

Not that great really, they are pretty expensive and AV12, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, if you are going to field bel'akor you could add a daemon troop and field a soulgrinder, now those are pretty awesome.

This intrigues me. I've always liked Soulgrinders. That would also be an Anti-Flyer wouldn't it?
Though I'm kinda lost as to what to take for a Troop choice to get em. Automatically Appended Next Post: Going for a 2k list.
