I'm building up a mech rush focused Chaos list featuring lots of MoN bikers and PM's in Rhinos. I'm trying to decide on where to throw money as I build up the list and I'm caught between two units I want to add as my tip-of-the-spear suicide assault team. I'm looking at either a Land Raider with a Termie hit squad or a couple of mauler fiends. Anybody have any experience (positive or negative) using these cats in a fast assault role?

I'm also considering dropping the sorc from my secondary detachment to add Huron Blackheart. I would make him warlord so I could infiltrate the LR full of termiciders or some PM's. Anybody had any luck doing this or am I wasting my time trying to get Huron in a list? With the sorc, I could Balestar into the Div tree to buffsmack the Maulers/Termies without having to rely on Hurons sketchy random magic table.

Well, if you want Bikers (or Spawn), take a Lord on a bike.
I'd opt for 3 Maulerfiends instead of Termies in an ancient LR. Add a Helldrake for taking on infantry.

Well the 5 helbrute formation is a pretty rad mech unit that only CSM have in that it allows you to give a blessing to 5 vehicles at once, like shrouding or invisibility or forewarning or whatever

I ran a Land Raider with a dozer blade and dirge caster. Inside were 5 terminators with combi melta's and power axes. The two units managed to kill a deceiver shard, one of their weird giant spider walkers (that twin links their shots), and a squad of immortals. In return I lost one terminator.

They certainly outperformed my vindicator which killed one warrior, rolled a 1 to wound the deceiver, and promptly was glanced to death by a bunch of gauss cannons.
