Currently converting some models into the Guardians of the Galaxy cast and am going to be running them as:
Starlord - Xeno inquisitor - power armour - 2x needle pistol
Drax - acro flagrant
Gamora - death cult assassin
Groot - deamonhost
Rocket - jokaro
All riding in a storm raven.
What team would you represent and who would you use?

The question and topic itself is pretty confusing. Can other fictional characters match with the 40K?
I don't like comic book heroes, neither understand their current massive hype they're getting.

I've been thinking about doing this but instead of including them as a single unit I've been looking at scattering them through my armies - mostly so that I can use rules that I think fit them the most.
Gamora ( ofc) is a DCA in one of my inquisitorial warbands, rocket is a Jokaero in the same warband, rogers is a captain w SS in my SM army, etc, etc.
I've been looking to include Starlord somewhere too but I can't find a unit that fits. I really want to be able to use his rocket boosters however I can't find any jump pack or jet pack units (preferably the latter) that can dual wield pistols outside of the SM and AS codexes. My issue with those is that a 3+ save doesn't really suit imo.... Any ideas?

Come now. Surely a Centurion Devastator has to be Iron Monger?

Despite the SS, I think Arjac's throwable hammer still makes him the best choice
Surely there's something better for stark?
I'd be inclined to make Hulk an Ironclad Dread. I think that's slightly more on his level.
Totally agree w the vindicare
Black widow needs to be more ninja than an inquisitor, maybe a different assassin? Failing that something totally different like an Eldar Harlequin?
Edit: Nick Fury: Malleus INQ w hellrifle (Agents of Shield final episode anyone?)

I struggled with Stark because you need something fast with a ton of firepower, and a JP dual-PP sm didn't cut it. Some kind of Tau battlesuit, maybe?
Good call on the Ironclad and Fury!

Yeah I reckon. Commander with TL plas and a burst cannon. That'd do it I should think Automatically Appended Next Post: How would you guys make someone like The Flash or Quicksilver? I can't think of anything quick enough (movement or CC wise)

Yeah true, I was thinking something like an GK Inteceptor or Cryptek/Obyron which can teleport but then the crons are too slow in cc and the Interceptors can only shunt once. Then again they are jump infantry and they can be boosted to I6 with a NFH (not Quicksilver/Flash level but not bad)

Take a bike base, and three of the same running model. Paint the one in front normally, adding some blur or something to the back half. Tone the color down the the middle one, add linear speed lines across the model. Last guy is a pale shadow. Probably the same techniques used to paint ghosts. Continue with the speed lines. Would probably take an airbrush and far more skill then I have to pull off. Or just not work; I'm not done with my first cup of coffee, so can't really be trusted right now.
Then you have the Flash. Rules wise, laughing mantle autarch on a jet bike might work well.
