From the very beginning I wanted to be very deliberate about the game design so that Pocket Dungeon Quest could be easily picked up and played by anyone. The rules are kept simple and the components are kept just as simple; 100 tiles make up the dungeon floor, there are 4 hero types (5 in the Kickstarter exclusive version) and 1, 6-sided dice.

Pocket Dungeon Quest is in the final stages of pre-production, which means artwork is finalized, manufacturing costs have been quoted and final plans are being made to bring PDQ to the public. My next step is to raise the funds necessary to push Pocket Dungeon Quest into full production mode. My plan is to have the complete game available to purchase online and in select stores by Thanksgiving. I know that is very soon and we are working hard to make it a reality. I want everyone to be playing PDQ with their families and friends at Christmas and I need your help to make this happen!

This looks like a lot of fun and could be a great casual game to play with spouses/kids/other non-initiates or a filler game for club nights.

This project has enough funding to upgrade to plastic pieces. From the project creator:
What I would prefer is plastic tiles with the artwork printed directly on the surface.
Here's another video of play:
