Can a Rune Priest have take a Thunderwolf mount? I see in his description he can take items from the special issue wargear list and on page 98 of the codex under special issue wargear is the Thurderwolf. The reason I am not sure is because under the Wolf Lord it specifically states he can have a wolf mount but there isn't any specification under the Rune Priest. Hence my confusion. Thanks in advance.

In my version, the actual special wargeat list (with points) does not list Thunderwolf mount. The only things listed in the list is Melta Bombs, Digital Weapons, Jump Pack, and Space Marine Bike.

They can not.
There is a section of the book called Space Wolves War-Gear List, in which one can find the cost of each upgrades and which upgrade is available for those whom can access said Lists. Thanks to the loss of Page Numbers, stupid digital Editions, this section can be found towards the front prior to the Datasheets themselves. As the Special Issue Wargear list does not have a Thunderwolf Mount as an option for purchase, having access to this List will not be enough to gain access to the Mount.

You could put him on a bike and now that they have gotten rid of the restriction on what can join a TWC unit, you could join the Rune Priest with the TWC unit and keep pace. Just a thought...
