Hey guys I was just lucky enough to preorder the new tyranid model, though my wallet now looks like its a member of 'fight club'. My only issue is trying to find rules for this thing. I know typically these rules come in imperial armor volumes, but I'm guessing since this is a new model the rules won't be in the current edition. The best answer I can find so far is that the rules will be released online after the model and later rolled into an ia book. I just want to confirm this so I can know if I need to save up for the new book. Very excited to get my first forgeworld model, cc mcs have always been my favorite.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Come to The Tyranid Hive. If you read through the posts there, and piece some of it together, you will get the basic rules for it and see how it works. Lots of how it works are scattered throughout, so reading the threads will give you a better understanding how she plays. Should be enough till you buy the book.

For me, model is meh, and rules are ok, but nothing great. Once people understand she is not the doom some people claim she is, she will be neutered pretty fast. For me, I like the Malanthrope. Great looking mini and the rules is basically a super Venomthrope on Steroids. Also an Elite choice now.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Wat. You bought an 85£ model without reading its rules first?

If you like the model it shouldn't be an issue buying it. Part of the hobby.

As above. The model in the flesh is lovely, and the rules aren't half bad.

Ohh I had been able to find some of the rules but I wasn't finding out what book they actually published them in. Also, I'll buy any tyranid mc that is designed with assault in mind. I know it's a shooty edition but I find close combat to be more fun than a gun line.
