Wondered how I can improve this list:

HQ

Chapter Master: 225pts
- Artificer armour, digital weapons, shield eternal, power weapon (axe).

Emperors Champ: 140pts

Troops

Crusader Squad: 140pts
- Lascannon, plasma gun, rhino

Crusader Squad: 140pts
- Lascannon, plasma gun, rhino

Elites

Dreadnought: 130pts
- Venerable, TL heavy bolter

Fast Attack

Assault squad: 195pts

Land Raider Crusader: 260pts

Tactics:

The plan is for the CM and EC to ride in the LRC with the 10 man crusader squad aim towards the biggest enemy unit/ largest concentration of enemies and make a mess of it. The two rhino mounted crusader squads will capture home objectives (midfield objectives later in the game) as well as providing some long range support for the advancing LRC and Dreadnoughts. The assault squad is a linebreaker/ backfield unit hunter

Drop the dreads. Add another LRC for the same point cost.

Move the LRC (which is a DT and hence OS) to your troops section.

The EC I would also drop. Replace him with a chaplain with PF. Makes the Crusaders pack a bigger punch.

I would also add some sort of power weapon into the CC squad. It becomes "hidden" as non-characters can't be challenged.

What he said. Chaplain will do much better than the Emperors champ. two dreadnoughts with heavy bolters won't do much, and an extra land raider will be pretty awesome. But you need something to put in that second land raider. You could either go with another crusader squad, or you could load the assault marines in it, or for a few more points, if you can squeeze it, you can put a squad of assault terminators 3 TH/SS and 2 LCs.

I feel like heavy armor will hurt you, a lot.

Or forget the land raider all together, keep the dreads, drop the heavy bolters, and go all drop pods.

So two dreads in drop pods with MM and heavy flamers, another drop pod with a crusader squad and your HQs and then spend the points from the lost land raider on a couple stormtalons.
