This is my first real attempt at a 30k legion list. I plan on playing it against 40k armies. So far my main concern with this list is the lack of ranged AT weaponry. My problem is that I dont know what to drop to make room for the AT guns. I plan on attaching the apothecaries to the tactical squads to give them some added toughness. My basic plan is to bubblewrap the Spartan with the tac squads, and force my opponent to use stupid amounts of fire to stop the Spartan, or gun down the Tac squads and let the pain-train that is Angron advance.

Observations:

Fewer, bigger squads. Why 3 squads of 15 dudes instead of 2 of twenty that you can also apothecary-up for less points...


I assume the rampagers are going in the spartan with the praetor? That should make an impressive mess.

It should work okay.

If you want points, take off some of the caedere weapons - assume at least one or two rampagers won't make it into combat, and if they do, they can stick to chainblades. 6 or so rending weapon armed veterans is probably enough.

Swapping to two units of twenty saves you 100 points and only leaves you five marines down.

That's enough for at least a couple of rapiers in a battery.

Would Angron's fearless bubble extend out of the Spartan? Also my thinking for running 3 units would be to split up the opponents firing.

Also bezerker assault needs requires 3 troops.

Ah. Well..... I did that on purpose then.... Haha.

Edit: also I was planning on putting angron in the spartan with the praetor and Rampagers.
