So with the new codex what do we reckon is better for wolf guard terminators go down the combi weapon route or are the close combat versions more suited now thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Seeing as our terminators remain fairly versatile this Codex no one can really tell you what you WANT to do with them. Drop pod shock unit with a combi? Sure. Deep Striking TH+SS squad? Sure.

If you want advice on how to equip them you'll have to decide on how they'll be used on the battlefield.

A Lone Wolf is a survivor or a brute. . .

Thunder hammer and shield got a hell of a lot cheaper, and if you use the supplement then there's a formation that gives a squad of th/ss termies and Arjac +1T and reflects damage if you roll a 6 on the save, which is pretty awesome.

I'll be going with 2 swords, 1 axe, an assault cannon and Arjac, simply because that's what I have modelled.

I'm using either storm bolter/frost weapons for cost reasons or storm shields for a bodyguard unit. Just need to convert the weapons.

I was thinking of deploying them via a stormwolf with arjac so was leaning towards a more close combat squad.

That +1 toughness sounds pretty powerful

You're right, but isn't part of the formation a LRC?

Aye, it does, but I think that's a better option overall. You can potentially get a T2 assault, which the stormwolf can't do. Also, doors the formation specify they have to start in the LRC, or just buy one? If the latter, you can just lend the LR to someone else on turn one and bring them on in the flier.
