the rules state each model can fire one weapon per shooting phase. This is fairly straight forward. However with tau crisis suits you can usually take 2 to 3 ranged weapons. My question is if you can only shoot one weapon per shooting phase what is the point of taking 2 of the same weapons for instance 2 plasma rifles when you can only fire 1 of them.

Idk if im interpreting the rules correctly or what

Read in your codex what wargear crisis suits have and what that wargear does.
Specifically, Multi-trackers.
