We are all familiar with the traditional gear loadouts:

- Stormbolters/powerfists or chainfists.
- Ligthening claws (pair)
- Thunderhammer/stormshield.

Had got to pondering, what non-traditional gear choices/pairings have you fellow SM players picked?

A few I chose were;

Thunderhammer/lightening claw,
Stormbolter/sotrmshield or claw a
nd Thunderhammer lightening claw.

How exactly would you be able to play with those? Anyway if I could play with these, Dual Hammers sounds the coolest.

The Riptide can't be a giant death robot, its completely lacking a sword or massive chainsaw. All giant death robots have swords or massive chainsaws.

Why is this in tactics when its about weapons loadouts not allowed for termis?

This should be in general discussion or proposed rules

Terminator captain’s and CMs have a lot of flex in their gear choices.

Not sure if other chapters get any wiggle room. Codex terminators are pretty set in their ways.

The sarge can achieve those loadouts, but C:SM regular units cannot.

Personally though, on a slightly side note, powerfist termies actually are pretty nice in close combat. Not super amazing, of course, but against enemies without AP2? They're essentially just as beastly as TH (but lacking the concussive). With their initial turn of shooting (even without a heavy weapon) they can really work wonders on certain units and enemy forces in general.
