The Internet- where men are men, women are men, and kids are undercover cops

So, after reading the article on the VT-49, I got excited. It sounds like a very formidable ship. I have a list I would like people to comment on before I buy two VT-49s when they release.

Rear Admiral Chiraneau (44) +Expose (4) + Rebel Captive (3)=53 points

Captain Oicunn (42) +Mara Jade (3) =45 points

Total 98 points

The obvious plan is to run straight at something with Oicunn while the Admiral stays back laying the smack down with his harder hit. The Captive will make the Admiral a less desirable target. In general, the plan is to force so much stress on my opponent that they will waste turns/attacks turning instead of K turning, giving my turrets more time to do their thing.

Also, what's the best use of the last 2 points? Any other thoughts?

I think Kenkirk would be a better team up with Oicunn. Him with Ysanne, Determination and Vader can be very tanky while Oicunn runs around denying actions and breaking stuff.

I thought about it... but realized that it would make Oicunn the easier object to focus on. The Admiral brings a lot of punch to the team... and really, I'd rather have things shooting him and letting Oicunn play whack-a-rebel, forcing high pilots to maneuver around his aggressive movement and ramming low-skill pilots with ease.

I tried out Captain Oicunn and Mara Jade. The two together aren't enough. 16 points goes by FAST with no defense whatsoever. ysanne is a must-take when using the VT-49... unless maybe you're using the baseline version.
