Subject: 40K All Day Battle report 2: Traitor Guard Vs Tyranids 2000 Points
I uploaded my second battle report today, It's much improved from my first video but there were a couple technical issues that I'll watch out for next time. I hope I mitigated it as best I could, but you can still hear some weird clicking, and the audio cuts out. I'll have to be more careful next game and check the audio after every filming, but hopefully it was a fluke just for this day. Let me Know what everyone thinks (other than the crappy audio obviously haha). Check out the first video too and don't forget to subscribe!
This game was basically over at the list building stage. Fighting on planet Bowlinghall also did nothing help the Tyranids, footslogging into a gunline.
Obviously a new Tyranid player that don't know that Hellhounds need to die and that Warp Blast is the suck.
Looks like an un-fun experience all together.
Try terrain and a Maelstrom mission next time.

Hey everybody, unfortunately that was the only table open at the game shop. I did try to help him by giving him intervening model saves when he would not have normally gotten it. I can certainly do a rematch and throw oodles of terrain out there. We were giving cover from all the swamp structure things and at the start of the game we thought that was going to be enough. That is an inherent problem with a shooty army vs a stabby army. He's going to take massed casualties getting to me but once he does things die fast.
Moral of the story is maybe if I'm facing someone not as good as me (hes nowhere near new but he is a very casual player) I should see their list first and make sure mine is not a hard counter. I assumed he was going to have a lot of big bugs(he ususally does) so my guns would not have done that much to his line, then he pulls out all the models and there was a bit of oh crap thought going through my head haha
