So on page 23 it says that Psychic powers are 'generated before the game begins'.

Does this mean that when making an army list you dont have to state which disciplines your psykers are going to generate powers from (i.e. you get to see which army your up against first before choosing disciplines), or do you have to specify which disciplines prior to knowing what army your opponent will have?

Also, is there anything that states the order in which players generate powers? (i.e. knowing that your opponent has access to a certain power - such as malefic daemonology summoning abilities - might influence the other player in their choice of discipline / whether to take a power or its primaris version.

I generally roll my powers and warlord just before rolling for mission/table deployment since there are powers that affect them.

I wouldn't show up to a game with prerolled powers, I always let my opponent watch.

I always roll with my opponent simultaneously, to prevent one player from gaining the advantage of rolling second and choosing powers based on the results.

Yes and no.

Yes, you decide when generating which disciplines you generate from.

And no, there's no rules that say either player has to do it first. Do it simultaneously or get a third party to prevent cheating if it is a problem.
