Does anyone know a way to give leman russ squadron interceptor? i have a list that i like, but i want to be able to minimize the danger of farsight bomb. any help would be great.

I am not sure if there is a way to give interceptor to units other than upgrades to certain armies.

Coteaz could help with your situation in a different way.

1) Go second.

2) Put your Leman Russes in reserve.

3) Bring them on, fire.

*0.5) Bring reserve buffers (MotF, ADL Comms, Tiggy, etc)

There's not really any need for that sort of elaborate set up with trying to give things interceptor. Just don't present your strongest links to him straight away, then use them to crush him. If you really wanted interceptor, you can get a pseudo-form of it from Coteaz, though only for infantry.

support with infantry? take an aegis so your tanks can get a 4+ cover save? take a skyshield so your tanks get a 4++? a psyker with fire shield or invisibility?

Just take 50 conscripts and a priest for a mere 175pts. They aren't getting anywhere near your russes then! After acting as bubble wrap - go score on something important and watch your opponent waste turns of shooting and assault getting rid of them. Or use them to provide a wave breaker against assault armies.

i was hoping to find an alie that can give them interceptor, but if not, o well. i am already using an ageis. but i would rather not loose pask to the insane amount of meltas that bomb will drop on me. lol

Well there is one way that could achieve the same effect.

Purchase the following:

Inquisitor
Rad granades, 3 servo skulls (you're only buying him for the servo skulls so equip him how you like, I just say rad granades because a rad inquisitor in a blob is crazy good).

Coatez
100pts

Spec weapons squad
3 demo charges

Place the russes with one flank covered with some LoS blocking terrain. Place the servo skulls so they can't all be deactivated as soon as farsight comes in but within 12" of the other flank and rear of the tanks. Place the spec weapons squad with coatez to the side of the tank put a 10 man squad behind the squadron spread out to prevent farsight deepstriking to the rear side near the LoS terrain. Now he has to deepstrike to one side (maybe the rear arc on that side too) of your tanks. Within range of the 3 demolition charges. All of which scatter only d6-3" due to servo skulls and bs if a hit is not scored. You should average 2 direct hits and 1 only 1 to 3" off. All st8 ap3 large blasts.
