So I was thinking of taking a short break from my Alpha Legion to have a try at making an Imperial Guard squad based on Confederates from the Northern War of Aggression. I've checked out several threads on doing this as it's previously been done, but I was thinking about using different suppliers. So before I actually spend any money I was wondering about the compatibility of Perry Miniatures with Chapterhouse lasguns. I've also realised, if it works, 44 IG will cost 44£+shipping, whereas GW ones would cost 80£.

1 - I am thinking of combining these guys with lasguns. Essentially, thinking of the scale, is it possible without making them look disproportionate? I'll also get this guy to have a potential Commissar.

2 - How do their horses measure up? I was thinking if this works I'll have 44 Imperial Guardsmen and I can then follow up with a bunch of Roughriders to make it even better.

3 - Does anyone have any thoughts on what grey I should use to keep it "historically" accurate?

While Perry miniatures are also 28mm, they are more realistically scaled compared to GW's heroic proportions. Meaning GW's offerings have bigger heads, cartoonishly bigger hands and bigger weapons overall. Of course the CHS lasguns would be made to fit GW models, and my guess is that it'll look weird on Perry Minis becuase of it looking oversized.

Aye, it's what I think, but it might just about work too. I think I'll go ahead and order it later, worst comes to worst I've got a bunch of lasguns and Confederates!

Edit - Judging from this thread they seem compatible!
