Your first picture is of the 3rd rendition of GW's pink horrors. Your second picture is the second version of them. (The originals looked much the same, but a little cartoonier).

Oh wow so they've had four. I never would have guessed that this unit would get that much support. epecially considering all of the other older models still in production

All four of the main lesser Daemons have been through at least 4 iterations by now.

Miniatures in the OP are the metal pink horrors that can out in about 2006 before the new current plastic version. They're GW resculpts of the version in the second picture.
*Nostalgic sigh* As someone who has never even been tempted to start a Chaos army I always wanted to get some of those to paint. They are easily the best daemons GW ever made imo, followed closely by Diaz's daemonettes.
The modern plastics are ok, but these will always be the definitive horrors.
