To avoid derailing the navy games thread, or at least to give it a chance to actually find the rails again..

Question: where abouts on this fine forum would be a good place to drop a thread on this ground breaking rule system?

Did wonder about there, but SFB is not a miniatures game, card counters on a map, indeed playing with models makes it a lot harder if you use some of the tactical intelligence rules.

Lacking anywhere else however will shift to there

Regardless of the nature of the game's components, I don't think a game with Star Fleet in its title should be in the Historicals sub-forum.

There is something in that argument.

I am not sure at the moment where it should go.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

It should go in Misc Miniatures.

The old Commanders Edition rules included rules and turning arcs for playing on a hexless table with miniatures, so it definitely qualifies.

Thread in Misc miniatures, agree its not exactly a historical game. Despite the way its presented...

Since Star Trek does not start with "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away..." I guess historical will not work.

Misc. miniatures should work, I had not seen a category of "science fiction accounting".

Loved the game but it hurt my head.

I now make many pretty spreadsheets to handle the nasty number crunching for me.

It was a close second with "Rulesmaster".. oops, "Rolemaster" in a fantasy setting.
