So what constitutes a orky dread mob in today's edition. Do Gorkanaut, Morkanauts and stompas have a place in them and what troops would accompany this mass of mechanized pain ? Just how effective are they ?

Are you talking fluff-wise? I think an Ork Dreadmob would be any set of walking monstrosities and Krazy Kontraptions that an Ork mek would be able to come up with. So both the Gorkanaut and Morkanaut would find themselves quite at home.

If you are talking rule-wise, the dread-mob list was a FW special ruleset that used the 4th edition Ork codex for use with 6th edition rules. So i think with a 7th edition ork codex out, the FW dreadmob rules arent up to date anymore.

I meant lore wise. By "dread mob" I meant ork walker mobs and whatever infantry would be bold ( or crazy) enough to enter battle along with them lore wise.

Just lots of walkers then, Gorkanaughts and Morkanaughts would be very much welcome.

I imagine there would still be plenty of infantry simply due to how Orks work. Lots of lesser meks would almost doubtlessly be present, and I bet a decent amount of boyz (and a few Nobz) would also be along for the ride. Both the great gear they got from having so many meks together, combined with getting to watch so many dead-stompy walkers stomp stuff would attract more than a small number of regular orks.
