im planning on starting a tau force using dreamforge eisenkern as fire warriors and the 15mm leviathan as a riptide.
can anyone suggest replacements for crisis suits and fish while maintaining the aesthetic of the eisenkern?

Well... The games workshop models aren't bad, and you could just convert them to eisenkern.

thanks Maniac_nmt
i wonder how the puppetswar suits would scale to the crisis suit? those are pretty nice.
i really like the ajax suits and have actually already looked into those. unfortunately the sculpter says that they are way too small for crisis suits.

Well, think about what you actually want out of the suit. You don't have to be exactly as bulky as a crisis suit. Since you are going to look at alternate models anyways, as long as the basing is kept similar....

The Puppet's War stuff is around Terminator or slightly larger in size from what I know.

Failing that, you'll have to look around. The old Mongoose Exosuits (Grizzly and Cougar) might work (the Grizzly is as wide, but not as tall, the Cougar is skinnier. They will be hard to find, although a modified grizzly is part of a current Judge Dredd range of models). There are also the AT-43 Cogs and Karman models which are similar in bulk and height (if you don't mind squidface aliens or giant apes). I've got some Karmans for modding into Broadsides (smaller than the new broadsides, but similar to the old ones in stature/bulk). Gundam Converge models are a bit shorter, but similar in size and could certainly work as Crisis suits.

Also check out 1/35 scale Ma.K suits. These *should* be roughly similar in size to the Crisis suit. You can pick them up on Ebay.

Zandris IV has some crisis suit alternatives:

Also check some Crisis Suit mods out:

Some of the Wizkids MechWarrior stuff is the right height if you want to have them not be piloted by people.

Mantic Games also has a 'large' bulky suit out right now:

If Defiance Games ever got round to producing them, their USMC hardsuits were looking good.

Westwind Models does a series of battlesuits for one of their alternate WW2 games that would probably work (I don't care for the look of them, but you might find them to your tastes).

thanks again maniac, there is some great stuff there.
youre right, im not sure why im so hung up on exact size. considering its an almost 0% GW legal army i guess as long as i make the overall height the same and the base the same then it shouldnt really matter.

now to move on to finding something where the aestetic seems to fit and to find a source of vehicles.

i wonder how these would conver into crisis suits?
Spoiler:

id have to make the guns a bit chunker but that shouldnt be too difficult.

I think those would look good but I don't know what the sizing would be like as well as the fact that they should look a little more nimble because of the crisis suits jump packs and special rules. I definitely like the idea of using dust walkers tho

so im still chipping away here.
ive decided to use mantic striders as crisis suits.

Spoiler:

unfortunately they really aren't meant to fly. I was wondering if you guys thought I should add some sort of wings, jump pack or just leave them alone and not worry about it. maybe the have powerful legs and jump or some sort of small teleport generator?

I still haven't found any vehicle replacements yet but I think I may be leaning towards a foot force anyway. it will make capturing objectives a bit harder but i'm mostly playing for fun so im not too worried about it.

For tanks, are you much of a modder? You could borrow this little beauty from a while back:
