I was thinking of creating a Wolf Brothers character that was awakened from stasis and now fights as a Space Wolf leader (As mentioned in Champions of Fenris) but I didn't know what type of armour he should be wearing. If he was supposed to be a blood claw when the legion split apart, and was send away tucked up in a stasis capsule as the inquisition hunted the wolf brothers down, what version of power armour should he wear? I was thinking either Heresy armour or Corvus armour.

avoiding the lorax on Crion

Be roughly that era. Post heresy armour, maybe a heresy varient.

Or a mixture of parts. As they seem to mix and match armour a lot

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Mk. 4, 3 or 2 power armor. Mk. 7 power armor wouldn't have been issued to the Space Wolves right away as they weren't on Terra during the siege and I don't believe they would have had much access to Mk. 6.

Of course he should be wearing Wolf Armour. WOLFWOLFWOLFWOLF!!!

As the Space Wolves do a lot of 'customising' (read: wolfing) on their armours, their looks could vary greatly. But it will probably have started out as a late-Heresy or early post-Heresy era armour.

The Space Wolves didn't make to Terra during the siege, but they did make to Terra. The Bill King story put them at mere hours away when Horus lowered his shields, the revised version in Collected Visions IIRC didn't give a timeframe but still indicated they were close enough to be considered (even if Horus wasn't bothered by their threat). That means they'd have had access to Mk6 & 7 for seven years before the 2nd Founding took place even if they weren't at the top of the requisition priority list, which in fact they probably would have been as being among the first reinforcements to arrive they would have been Terra's first line of defense against a second traitor attack, and at the forefront of the early days of the Scouring.

The official fluff from the WD129/RT Compilation article was that when the 2nd Founding took place the armours available were 'mostly mk6 & 7 with a smattering of older types'
