My inner Ork came out again...though it needs a new paint job.
Left behind a TIE hull and the Y-Wing engines. HHHMMMmmmmmm....
Would also make a nice "counts as" for the new S&V faction.

The Y-TIE was an Ugly starfighter built by replacing the standard engine package of a BTL Y-wing starfighter with the radiator wings and ion engines of a standard TIE/LN starfighter. The laser cannons from the TIE replaced the ion cannons in the Y-wing's turret, and the TIE's sensor package replaced the Y-wing's missing sensor array.

Not entirely clear from the pic, but I guess you could say that the engines were housed in the Y fuselage (after all, a TIE's engines are tiny).

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

That is awesome! I wanted to start making some of the uglies, they are some of my favorite ships, and some of the worst lol.

If you make the remainder into a DYE-Wing, I would expect you to remove that model as soon as it was attacked, overlapped an obstacle, or attempted any manoeuvre that wasn't straight ahead.

Also, you should really disallow the turret, as you'll blow your own wings off.

That's why I cut the fwd panel out. To give the turret a somewhat more realistic arc of fire.
